Growing up in a musical family, laid a natural path for E. Henry Eckhardt to travel. Growing up in the Ozarks seasoned the spirit of his songs with a flavor of the music of mountain folklore which faintly reached them on a Saturday night on WSM Radio.

In his memories, a soft lullaby to the creaking motion of an old rocking chair called the sandman to more than one sleepy child.

The spirit of E. Henry Eckhardt’s childhood is the heart of the Bunny Song, and the rich imaginary world he enjoyed as a child begs the question, “What’s your little bunny do when you sleep at night?”
